FAQ’s About Executive Coaching
Who Does Executive Coaching Help?
-
Coaching enables you to gain perspective, recognize blind spots, develop stronger self-awareness, and learn how to lead more effectively. The aim is to create a better understanding of your situation into more effective communication, action, and leadership.
-
No. I work with executives and leaders carrying significant responsibility in their companies, including people stepping into new roles or planning new ventures. We can discuss your role and what you want to accomplish before deciding if working together makes sense.
-
Yes. We can work through what changing markets, technology, or company structure mean for your leadership and business decisions. I help you examine the choices and their consequences so you can decide how to move forward.
-
Executive coaching focuses on your goals, personal development, and resulting decisions as a leader. I help you examine assumptions and consider options while you remain responsible for what you do. Our coaching conversations can include personal concerns that affect your work, but coaching is not mental health treatment.
What Should I Expect from Executive Coaching?
-
We begin with what you want to accomplish in that conversation. You might want to work through a decision, make sense of a recurring problem, or consider your next career move. I listen, ask questions, and offer observations. We may look at an option you have dismissed or a habit you have not questioned, and then consider what you want to do next.
-
Look for changes connected to the goals you brought to coaching. You may be making decisions with clearer reasons, spending more time on important priorities, or handling a recurring challenge differently. These are examples of progress, rather than a promise of a particular business result.
-
Coaching from a fellow human and experienced entrepreneur provides empathy and feedback that an AI cannot. My experience informs the questions I ask and the guidance I give - all driven by warmth and wisdom unique to the human experience.
-
Before beginning, we will establish a clear confidentiality agreement. You need room to discuss uncertainty and business concerns without concern for loss of privacy. My relationship is with you, the client, and not with your company.
